The SCM Minimax FS 41ES is a heavy-duty, professional-grade jointer/planer combination machine, designed to deliver high-performance results in demanding environments. With either a 4.8 HP, single-phase (230V) or a powerful 8 HP, 3-phase motor (220V) and features an advanced Xylent spiral helical cutterhead, designed to shear at an angle, which reduces operational noise while providing a smoother, cleaner finish. The Xylent cutterhead uses insert knives arranged in a spiral pattern, providing exceptional surface quality while significantly reducing ambient noise. The FS 41ES offers a 16” (410mm) working width, and a 87” (2200mm) jointer table length, ideal for large-scale, precise woodworking projects. Equipped with cast iron tables, a tilting fence (0°-45°), and a digital-mechanical readout for planer height adjustments, it ensures smooth, accurate performance. Featuring adjustable feed speeds of 23 & 46 fpm, this machine guarantees high-quality results for both jointing and thicknessing, meeting the needs of professional craftsmen and woodworking shops.

**The Minimax FS 41ES does not come with the European Euroguard. This machine comes standard with the OSHA compliant American Spring Guard for the USA**

XYLENT CUTTERHEAD
This amazing SCM Group Jointer/Planer combination machine now comes with the most innovative solution for soundless planing in the world. The 16” cutterhead version comes with a spiral knife cutterblock with 3 series of knives. Totaling 66 plates of 15x15x2.5mm. These knives are 4 self-locking and self-centering screw knives. With each cutterhead you will also receive 1 dynamometric key for the correct and safe use of the locking mechanism (think of a mini torque wrench). Additionally, you will receive two inserts for the dynamometric key.

CUTTERHEAD GUARD
The standard guard offered on the Minimax jointer/planer combination machine is a spring type guard which always covers the unused portion of the knife. Other European style guards require the guard to be manually moved into place when the fence is readjusted. When processing thick wood, this does not cover the blade as completely.

STABILITY OVER TIME
For a maximum long lasting stability the cast iron thicknessing table lifts on 4 spindles with trapezoidal threads dust protected.

HIGH RIGIDITY
The Minimax FS 41ES uses a dedicated planing fence extremely rigid and smooth, thanks to a support with central round bar.

TABLE LIFTING
Comfortable and precise planing. The ES series adopts ergonomic solutions like the 2200mm jointer tables, in ribbed cast iron, that allows for the simultaneous opening towards the inside of the machine with a 90° angle. For maximum long lasting stability the cast iron thicknessing tables lift on 4 spindles with dust protected trapezoidal threads.
